Enrolling on eStudent

All domestic and international academic students
Before you enrol, please activate your UTS email account. You’ll receive important information about enrolment and orientation by email.

New international academic students

  • Studying: diplomas, UTS Foundation Studies, or Graduate Certificates
  • Enrolment: you're required to attend the On-campus Enrolment Session in UTS Building 5 (CB05C) - Please check your emails for all infromation reagarding these sessions - or Register Here. 
  • Enrolment help: you'll be guided through the process of enrolling on eStudent during your On-campus Enrolment Session.
  • Choosing classes: we'll help you with this in your On-campus Enrolment Session.


New domestic students

  • Studying: diplomas
  • Enrolment: you're required to enrol online using eStudent. This usually takes between half an hour to an hour.
  • Enrolment help: you can access online Enrolment Support Sessions.
  • Choosing classes: these are available on campus in UTS Building 5 (CB05C) or at Harris Street (HS) locations (645) when enrolling on eStudent. Your classes are identified with a building and room number (e.g., CB05C.01.011, HS645.325).

If you’re having problems accessing eStudent or UTS email:

Log a support request at the ITDS Service Desk portal or call (+61 2) 9218 7000. Remember to include your name, student identification, and a screenshot of the problem.

If you’re trying to enrol online and find that classes are full, please don’t worry. More classes will open during the week. Check eStudent regularly for updates.

If your timetable is still incomplete after online enrolment had closed, the enrolment team will finalise your timetable and notify you via UTS email when your timetable is ready.

Frequently asked questions

Enrolment is for new UTS College students, students going from UTS Foundation Studies to a Diploma, and students progressing from an English language program to an academic program. Re-enrolment is for continuing academic program students selecting their subjects for the next semester.

When you need to re-enrol depends on the type of program you’re studying. Find more information at the re-enrolment page.

You can check your class timetable on eStudent.

 You can log in to eStudent using your student ID and password.

You can only change your subjects if you have elective subjects as part of your program.

 There are two weeks of holiday leave scheduled after each exam period and over the December Christmas and New Year’s break.
