A UTS College diploma in Animation Production, Business, Communication, Design and Architecture, Engineering, Information Technology, or Science is a life-changing first-year uni experience. You’ll enjoy a high level of support most first-year students would envy.

Your UTS College diploma is more than a pathway – it’s a transformative experience that sets you up for university and life success. You’ll start uni in a smaller, more supportive environment. You can learn the ropes of university life while you dive into your special subject. And the best part? Most of our diplomas take you straight into second year at UTS – so you’ll be right there with your mates.

3. NO ATAR worries
Your strengths are what matters most to us, so we don’t use the ATAR for admission. We prefer to calculate an average mark from your HSC results, based on a combination of English and your best three board developed courses (8 units in total).

4. Finish with two qualifications in no extra time
If (like most of our graduates) you proceed to second year of your UTS degree on completing your diploma, you’ll already have an internationally recognised qualification for your CV. And if you decide that uni isn’t for you right now, that same qualification will help you find work in your area of study.

5. Build confidence while you build your study skills
You’ll study the same first year subjects on the same campus as students doing first year at UTS. But we’ll have your back with access to lots of support services (like peer mentoring, and access to our academic advisers) and a teaching style that’s fresh, vibrant, and collaborative. So, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make friends and build your social network.

6. Study now, pay later
FEE-HELP, an Australian Government loan scheme, covers all UTS College diplomas for students who meet Australian citizenship and residency requirements.
