As CEO, Morwenna leads the overall strategic direction and vision for the College, maintaining focus on its purpose as the pathway to the University of Technology Sydney and continuing the College’s rich history as a global provider with campuses and partnerships in Australia, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and South Korea.

Morwenna has worked and studied all over the world, and in her role prior to joining UTS College, led university partnerships in Australia and New Zealand, including a number of pathway colleges. She began her career in English language education in the UK and overseas, and in Australia has had a number of leadership roles in higher education and in the vocational sector.

Morwenna brings a passion for people and partnership, and for building community and collaboration, to UTS College.
Sally Payne

Sally Payne

Dean of Studies

Sally is the Dean of Studies at UTS College and Deputy Chair of the Academic Board.

Sally is an academic leader with 28 years’ experience in the higher education sector. Her experience spans work in her discipline field, in learning and teaching, in academic management, leadership and governance, in teacher professional development, in the development of academic communities and cultures of scholarship.

Much of Sally's work has been focused on enhancing quality in learning and teaching within the pathway sector environment.

Sally has been a member of the UTS College Academic Board since its inception.

Peter Harris

Peter leads UTS College Market and Business Development strategy as part of the leadership team. As Chief Officer, Future Students, he is responsible for all marketing, student recruitment, transnational education (TNE) partnerships, and product and business development. He is supported by Sydney staff and teams in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Thailand and Malaysia.

He has overseen the expansion of the TNE program and established partnerships and wholly-owned colleges in countries throughout Asia to build capacity and increase access for students in their home country.

Peter sits on the Boards of UTS College subsidiaries in Australia, China and Sri Lanka and management boards of all TNE partnerships.

Prior to joining UTS College, Peter worked across a range of sectors and roles from professional adviser with Deloitte, founding a tech start-up and successful advertising and marketing agencies.

His not-for-profit experience includes appointments to the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA), a charity focussing on the health of our oceans, as well as volunteer work in mental health and mentoring for purpose start-ups.

Peter is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. 

Nathan Patrick

Nathan is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of UTS College and is responsible globally for the College's financial activities, campus planning, ITDS and corporate governance (including legal, risk management, internal audit, regulatory compliance, offshore legal entities and company secretariat).

During his career he has held senior financial, management and governance positions in higher education, professional services, manufacturing and construction sectors in Australia and Asia. His career includes 15 years in diverse roles in the 'Big 4' consulting firms (Deloitte, KPMG, PwC and EY) and five years as the Chief Operating Officer of a law firm. For 10 years he has also been Treasurer and board member of the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools.

Nathan is a Fellow of the following organisations: Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand; The Governance Institute of Australia; The Australian Institute of Company Directors; and the Chartered Governance Institute UK. He is currently completing a Doctorate in Education at the University of Melbourne.

Carol Churches

Carol joined UTS College in late 2007 as General Manager, Human Resources. She is an HR professional with 25 years of experience in multinational and privately owned organisations across FMCG, IT&T, consumer products and private education sectors.

After an early career in IT, Carol spent 14 years in various human resources roles at Unilever New Zealand & Australia. She then established a successful HR and career transitions consultancy, working with business and private individuals for six years' before joining UTS College.

Carol holds a Diploma of Business from Massey University in New Zealand.

At UTS College, Carol and the HR team facilitate the recruitment, engagement and development of staff, fostering a high performing organisation and inclusive culture.
