As CEO, Morwenna leads the overall strategic direction and vision for the College, maintaining focus on its purpose as the pathway to the University of Technology Sydney and continuing the College’s rich history as a global provider with campuses and partnerships in Australia, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and South Korea.

Morwenna has worked and studied all over the world, and in her role prior to joining UTS College, led university partnerships in Australia and New Zealand, including a number of pathway colleges. She began her career in English language education in the UK and overseas, and in Australia has had a number of leadership roles in higher education and in the vocational sector.

Morwenna brings a passion for people and partnership, and for building community and collaboration, to UTS College.
Sally Payne

Sally Payne

Sally is the Dean of Studies at UTS College and Deputy Chair of the Academic Board.

Sally is an academic leader with 28 years’ experience in the higher education sector. Her experience spans work in her discipline field, in learning and teaching, in academic management, leadership and governance, in teacher professional development, in the development of academic communities and cultures of scholarship.

Much of Sally's work has been focused on enhancing quality in learning and teaching within the pathway sector environment.

Sally has been a member of the UTS College Academic Board since its inception.

Peter Harris

Peter leads UTS College Market and Business Development strategy as part of the leadership team. As Chief Officer, Future Students, he is responsible for all marketing, student recruitment, transnational education (TNE) partnerships, and product and business development. He is supported by Sydney staff and teams in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Thailand and Malaysia.

He has overseen the expansion of the TNE program and established partnerships and wholly-owned colleges in countries throughout Asia to build capacity and increase access for students in their home country.

Peter sits on the Boards of UTS College subsidiaries in Australia, China and Sri Lanka and management boards of all TNE partnerships.

Prior to joining UTS College, Peter worked across a range of sectors and roles from professional adviser with Deloitte, founding a tech start-up and successful advertising and marketing agencies.

His not-for-profit experience includes appointments to the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA), a charity focussing on the health of our oceans, as well as volunteer work in mental health and mentoring for purpose start-ups.

Peter is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. 

Michael Baer

Michael is a strategic financial executive who leads UTS College financial operations, property portfolio, and corporate governance framework. As CFO and Company Secretary, he oversees critical functions including legal affairs, risk management, internal audit, regulatory compliance, and international entity management across the institution's global presence.
 
With more than 30 years' leadership experience, Michael's career spans both professional services and higher education. He spent 15 years in senior roles at the Big 4 accounting and top-tier law firms, culminating in a CFO position in the legal sector. For the past 15 years, he has managed UTS College's financial operations across Australia and international markets, supporting sustainable growth and operational excellence.
 
Beyond his corporate achievements, Michael demonstrates his commitment to community service through his five-year tenure as Secretary and Board Member of a non-profit organisation supporting individuals with spinal injuries.

Anna Krajewska

As Executive Director, Operations at UTS College, Anna is responsible for the coordination of administrative, ITDS and facility services.

Anna has 20 years’ experience in operations management within the education sector, encompassing strategy development, leadership and management in tertiary education in Australia and New Zealand. Her roles span multiple parts of the education sector, including higher education, vocational education, ELICOS, pathway partnership and third-party provider arrangements in the context of domestic and international cohorts, as well as face-to-face and online environments. This breadth and depth of experience has instilled in her the importance of strong, strategic, goal-oriented leadership and management that supports the objectives and sustainability of the College.

She has a passion and appreciation for the student and staff life cycle. Anna brings strong team leadership, and a commitment to fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture, to UTS College.
Lauren Kelly

Lauren joined UTS College as Executive Director, People in August 2024.

Lauren's expertise spans diverse industries and environments, including national and global teams, Australian start-ups, and hyper-growth companies. This broad background provides her with valuable insights across sectors such as professional services, real estate, technology, business process services and education.

Her career has encompassed a wide range of domains, including People and Culture, Talent Acquisition, Customer Success, and Executive Management.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Sydney. Her professional approach brings a continued motivation to build a culture where innovation and learning thrives and find solutions to interesting business and people problems.
