Accepting your offer
Once you have received an offer, we invite you to accept that offer so you can get started on your higher education journey.
UTS College uses the term ‘Conditional’ in lieu of ‘Provisional’.
Conditional Offer
Conditional offers are issued when additional information or documents are needed to finalize assessment. Conditional offers cannot be accepted.
Conditional – Proceed to Accept
Conditional – Proceed to Accept offers are issued where outstanding items can be submitted at time of acceptance. This will allow you to accept your offer and provide outstanding items online at the same time.
Full Offer
Once you have received your Full or Conditional – Proceed to Accept offer letter, please read through the letter carefully. When you are ready to accept the offer, follow the detailed instructions on how secure a place in your preferred diploma program at UTS College. You will need to accept our offer, and either pay your fees or apply for FEE-HELP (if eligible).
Offers can be accepted online via the Student Application Portal following instructions outlined in the offer letter and on our website Domestic student application Step 2:Accepting your offer.
You can opt to defer your fees via FEE-HELP. Applications for FEE-HELP are submitted online via estudent. Detailed instructions on how you can apply for FEE-HELP are outlined in the offer letter and our website Domestic student application Step 3: Applying for FEE-HELP.
If you opt not to defer your fees via FEE-HELP, you need to pay the first semester fees as outline in our offer letter. Refer to our payment options on our website. Proof of payment must be submitted at time of acceptance.
If you are under 18 years of age, the acceptance form needs to be signed by you and your parent/legal guarding and returned as outlined in the offer. You may still apply for FEE-HELP online.

Prepare for enrolment and Welcome Week
About two weeks prior to an intake, information will be emailed to you about how to get started with setting up various online accounts and platforms used throughout your study at UTS College, information about Welcome Week, upcoming enrolment and how to get involved with the UTS College student community.

Enrolment
Enrolments for all our diploma programs are completed online in designated enrolment sessions. Enrolments open one week prior to Welcome Week, and you’ll receive detailed information about what session to attend and how to select your timetable closer to the intake.
During the enrolment period, enrolment support sessions are open for all students that need assistance. If you need extra help, our enrolment team and IT team will be available during the workshops.

Attend your Welcome Week session
Welcome Week is an integral part of the diploma program to help you get set for a successful journey at UTS College.
Welcome Week is compulsory and covers all the important things you need to know and do before you start, such as what is expected from you and what you can expect from your program. Sessions include program-related presentations by your program manager, subject coordinators and teachers, introductions to the aims and objectives of all your subjects, social meetings to get to know your classmates and teachers, Study Success sessions and much more.

Deferment and withdrawal
Domestic students can defer or withdraw from their program up to the census date of their first semester study without incurring academic or financial penalty, or FEE-HELP debt. You must follow the correct process when requesting to withdraw to ensure that the withdrawal can be finalised by the census date. Deferral requests made after the first semester census date has passed are made on a case by case basis and in accordance with the Deferring and Cancelling Student Enrolment Policy.

Received an offer?
UTS College offers are non-binding. If you wish to change or defer the diploma, you don’t need to submit a new application. Simply submit your new preference via the Student Application Portal. A revised letter will be sent to you within two to three business days.
Depending on the circumstances we may re-assess your application. If you have any questions, our friendly staff are here to assist you.
If you wish to withdraw your application, you can decline our offer in a few simple steps via the Student Application Portal.
Defer or withdraw at acceptance
You can defer or change the diploma program already accepted by simply emailing us with the new course preference and intake date. A revised offer letter will be issued and sent to you within two to three business days. You will need to accept the revised offer and re-submit an online FEE-HELP application to finalise admission for the new program.
If you wish to decline after you’ve accepted your offer, let us know by email so that we can withdraw the
program. We’ll send you a confirmation once the withdrawal has been finalised.
After you’ve commenced the course, you must follow the correct process when requesting to withdraw to ensure that the withdrawal can be finalised by the census date.
Fees and charges
Fees and charges vary depending on the course you are studying. Please visit our website to find our overall Diploma course fees and a more detailed Schedule of Fees. Your offer letter will have detailed fee information relating to your program.
Australian citizens, Humanitarian Permanent Resident visas holders and some New Zealand citizens may be eligible for FEE-HELP, an Australian Government loan scheme. You can find out more about FEE-HELP on the StudyAssist Government website and Frequently Asked Questions on our website.
Recognition of prior learning
If you are seeking exemption from subjects at UTS College based on an equivalent level of study at a previous institution, you can apply at the same time as submitting your application for entry into UTS College.
Applications for exemptions with all necessary documentation can be made up until the end of week one of the first semester of study at UTS College. Additional information can also be found in our Recognition of Prior Learning Procedure. Please contact us for more information.
The UTS College Assessment Policy and Assessment Procedure outlines the principles on formal examinations, moderation, appeals against grades, special consideration and special needs. UTS College uses an assessment method that refers to pre-set criteria resulting in grades: High Distinction, Distinction, Credit, Pass, Fail.
Appeals and grievances
UTS College views student complaints as providing an opportunity to review and improve its policies and practices and to gain insight into student levels of satisfaction. Complaints can be forwarded to Complaint@utscollege.edu.au. UTS College regards student complaints as a confidential matter, however UTS College will usually not accept anonymous complaints. Procedural fairness will be observed in all aspects of handling a complaint. Where necessary, UTS College will provide an interpreter throughout the complaint handling process.
Our Student Complaints and Appeals Policy and Student Complaints and Appeals Procedure are designed to
ensure procedural fairness, facilitate a consistent handling of complaints and meet best practice standards of complaint handling.
If you are unsatisfied with the outcome of a complaint you can pursue the complaint with a third independent party.
