UTS Academic Excellence International Scholarship
The UTS Academic Excellence International Scholarship supports high achieving international students who wish to complete their undergraduate or postgraduate study at UTS.
About the scholarship
This scholarship is available to high performing UTS Foundation Studies or Pre-Master’s Program students enrolling in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs respectively at UTS in Sydney in 2025 or 2026.

UTS 2025 and 2026 intakes: 30% off tuition fees.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must meet the following: - remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
- meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program; and
- for undergraduate coursework admission, completed an Australian Foundation Studies program and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification; or
- for postgraduate coursework admission, the most recently completed and UTS recognised tertiary qualification at an Australian Bachelor degree level or higher, and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification; and
- commence full‐time and on campus (Sydney); and
Must not :
- be studying a UTS online degree or distance degree; or
- have completed an approved external articulation or pathway program from an institution outside of Australia; or
- be a recipient of another UTS scholarship or grant or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program for the duration of this scholarship, and be a government sponsored student.
Terms and conditions
- Eligible UTS Foundation Studies and Pre‐Master’s Program students will be considered for this scholarship upon completion at UTS College. If not eligible, students will be considered for a merit scholarship.
Selection process
- For undergraduate coursework admission, academic merit in UTS Foundation Studies is used for entry into the selected UTS Bachelor degree program.
- For postgraduate coursework admission, academic merit in the Pre-Master's Program is used for entry into the selected UTS postgraduate coursework program.
How to apply
UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions will automatically consider all commencing international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney for this scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to what is required for the course application.
