  • International students, you can boost your English skills. Academic English is incorporated into the first semester of this diploma, so it's perfect for students who need to boost their level of English but don’t want to wait to start their Academic Studies. The English component of the first semester of the Extended Diploma program needs to be successfully completed before progression into further subjects. Students will study English classes in the morning and academic classes in the afternoon – the best of both worlds.
  • Sets a gradual pace for new students to Australia. In the 16 month diploma, the workload in the first semester has been set at the right pace for new students. This means students will have enough time to study hard and do well in their subjects, while settling into a new Australian home.
  • Domestic students, you can boost your academic communication skills to a university level. This program offers an Academic Communication subject in the first semester, designed to help boost students' communication skills, so they will be confident studying at a university level. Some of the topics covered include: essay writing, research techniques, effective note-taking, performance and presentation skills, information and digital publication skills, and university style referencing.
  • Subjects in the first semester will prepare students to tackle difficult subjects. Enabling subjects in the first semester will prepare students with the extra skills needed to tackle harder ones. Subjects such as Accounting for Business, Physics for Engineering, and Maths for Science have been identified as study areas some students need more support with. This means your chance of success is greatly increased as you progress through the rest of your diploma and university studies.
