This subject is designed to develop students' abilities to use evidence-based reasoning to solve important problems confronting business and society at large. Statistics and data are ubiquitous in the modern corporate world. Students will learn quantitative methods essential for organisational roles across all business discipline areas. The relevance of these methods will be demonstrated with applications to a diverse set of real-world case studies. The subject will train students to be responsible users of data, emphasising ethical considerations, the strengths and limitations of analytical tools, and how to communicate statistical evidence to inform decision making, laying the foundation for further study in different business disciplines.
