Benefits of moving to the UTS campus
UTS College Managing Director Alex Murphy says the move means our students will be able to mix with students and staff across the modern and vibrant UTS Campus, with its variety of study, quiet and social hangout spaces.
“With UTS College and UTS being co-located, students and staff will have more opportunities to collaborate with each other, improving the learning experience for our students.” Alex says.
“We look forward to hosting an opening event in early October for students and staff which will include a traditional Aboriginal Welcome to Country, campus tours, lunch and fun activities.”
Continuation of Live Online
Semester 3 classes will continue to be taught both on-campus and Live Online, ensuring that students who cannot get to Sydney can participate in our programs. Students who are in Sydney will be expected to attend their classes on campus.

Breakout areas
Building 5 features three large breakout areas for students to relax, recharge, study and interact with other students. Secure lockers will also be available for students in these communal areas. The two larger areas overlook a garden courtyard area.

Three rooms are especially designed for teaching science. Teachers can access a preparation room to set-up specialised classes and a dry laboratory designed for physics classes.
Computer Labs
There will be four 65 inch (165cm) digital screens in each of the two new computer labs. Students will be able to share content in small groups, or with the whole class, allowing classes to collaborate to understand problems and explore IT solutions.
