As we enter 2020, news of Australian bushfires has been everywhere – even making headlines internationally - and even our cities have been affected by days of poor air quality due to smoke.
If any students have been distressed in any way by these events, we are here to help. There is assistance with students for health and wellbeing, they can make an appointment with the UTS Counselling Service, or UTS Health Service. These services are free to UTS Insearch students and staff.
We’d like to reassure students joining us in March that UTS Insearch campuses (and the City of Sydney in general) are a very safe distance from any fires seen so far this year. Even on days when Sydney has experienced smoke haze, the air conditioning filtration systems in our buildings have maintained a safe and comfortable environment.
The safety and peace of mind of all students, future students, and staff is important to us, and we will continue to monitor conditions. We look forward to welcoming those commencing with us in 2020 and please remember we are here to help if any students or future students need assistance.
