1. How do I get a place at UTS College?
You might be happy to know that admission to our courses isn’t based on the ATAR. We prefer to use the average mark from your HSC results, calculated from your English mark and your strongest three HSC subjects. We like to see you at your best.
2. How does the transition from UTS College to UTS work?
The short answer is it works very well! Provided you meet the required GPA for your diploma, you’re guaranteed entry to the related UTS bachelor’s degree. In many cases you’ll receive credit points towards your degree, or even progress directly to second year.
Here’s a tip: At the end of your diploma program, make sure you attend the UTS Transfer Session. It will cover what to expect, and any steps needed to sort out things like your future program structure, applying for study credits, enrolling at UTS, and important dates. You’ll also get any necessary forms. And we’ll have representatives of relevant UTS faculties ready with advice and information.
3. What’s the last day to apply and the last day to accept?
The last date to submit applications for 2022 is Monday 21 February, and the last day to accept your offer is Wednesday 23 February, so it’s time to get moving.
4. Can I access the UTS campus facilities as a UTS College student?
UTS College is part of UTS. That means you’re entitle to all the word-class facilities, including the library, 24-hour computer labs, UTS events, and hundreds of student clubs and associations.
5. How do I apply?
It’s quick and easy to complete your application and upload supporting documents on our student portal. If you have all of your documents ready, it should take about 10 minutes. As a domestic student, you’ll need your transcript of studies (showing subjects and result), your HSC completion certificate, and a copy of the grading scale (if available). We’ll also need a copy of your Australian passport, birth certificate, or Australian citizenship certificate.
