This subject will develop students’ skills in mathematical processes, thinking and logic to provide a thorough foundation for learning higher level mathematics. 
The subject covers essential knowledge and skills, reviewing basic number and algebra and developing understandings and skills in calculus building on the knowledge and skills developed in Introduction to Mathematics 1 and 2. The subject aims to develop process and analytical skills and knowledge with a focus on mathematical thinking and communication.
