54 credit points to UTS for Diploma of Business

54 credit points to UTS for Diploma of Business
Diploma of Business students articulating to either the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Management at UTS can now receive 54 credit points RPL for all nine subjects completed at UTS College!

Students now have the option to use Academic Communication (BABC011 Academic and Business Communication) as an elective for RPL. This change is applicable for all UTS College students studying a Diploma of Business at any UTS College campus (Sydney or Sri Lanka) or TNE program location.

How does it work?

Students of the Diploma of Business at UTS College articulating to the Bachelor of Business at UTS (course code C10026) will initially receive 48 credit points in RPL. However, students may be eligible for an additional six credit points of Credit Recognition if the elective option CBK92256 or CBK92257 is selected as part of their course structure.

The UTS Business School will reassess each student’s study plan and if the structure of their degree permits, an additional six credit points of advanced standing will be granted after the census date of the first session at UTS.

UTSC Diploma in Business graduates who articulate into the Bachelor of Management (course code C10342) will receive 54 credit points of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

When does this change occur?

This change is effective immediately.

Does this option impact course choice?

Yes. Choosing this option will limit students’ ability to pursue a double major, sub majors, or an internship program. This decision must be made as students transition into their degree path at UTS.

How will students be supported to make this choice?

This choice can significantly impact students' academic and future career goals. To assist students in making an informed decision, they are encouraged to:
  • Consult with their Student Success Adviser: Our advisers are available to help students understand the implications of their choices and guide them based on their individual goals and circumstances.
  • Attend Information Sessions: There will be information sessions towards the end of the course to provide detailed explanations of the updated structure and RPL options.
