To better support our students, we have a new pre-arrival 'Get ready’ program for students to commence before they arrive. The program includes:
- social networking groups for students to meet each other
- access to our online learning program to learn new skills and receive important safety information.
- useful pre-arrival preparation information via email, web links and social.
Social networking groups
Based on your feedback as well as students, there are now networking groups on Facebook and WeChat for students who are commencing their studies in 2020. Students will have the opportunity to connect with their potential classmates, to make friends and ask questions. Students will be emailed an invitation to join the group.
Pre-arrival preparation
One of the aims of the ‘Get Ready’ program is to give our students an opportunity to become familiar with our new industry-leading learning platform Canvas. Through this program students will be requested to register on Canvas and complete the welcome module.
‘Get ready’ information
Students will be sent communications via email, social and through Canvas to help them prepare to study in Sydney. The content covered includes campus video campus tours, information on activities clubs, steps to prepare for orientation etc.
The pre-arrival information will be sent to all students, including English language students. To see the type of information that will be sent visit our 'get ready' page via the Channel Partner section of our website.
