UTS Cambridge Accelerator is an unmissable opportunity for ambitious international students.

Applications are now open for the UTS Cambridge Accelerator Program. For the first time in Australia, the globally recognised Cambridge International program is available as part of an immersive Australian university experience preparing international students for all aspects of university life. There are many reasons not to miss this outstanding opportunity. Here are just seven:

  1. A global qualification to elevate any CV
Cambridge International A and AS levels are highly valued by universities and employers worldwide. The prestigious Cambridge International program has a global reputation for excellence. The new, high-quality program at UTS College incorporates four first-year university (diploma) subjects (with 24 credit points towards a related UTS College diploma), and two levels of academic English. This creates a comprehensive program that accelerates students’ development beyond A level success.

  2. A safe environment with comprehensive support
Drawing on more than 35 years as a leader in transitional education, UTS College has deep expertise in preparing international students for success at university, including those under the age of 18. Our knowledge includes language support, career counselling, learning support, and social wellbeing. Studying on campus in the heart of Sydney, students in the UTS Cambridge Accelerator will also have access to university facilities, age-appropriate clubs and activities, and a comprehensive wellbeing program that includes:

    • pre-departure inductions
    • airport pickup service
    • orientation sessions
    • peer mentoring
    • welfare checks
    • progress reports, and more.

Parents can be assured that their child will study in a safe, supportive learning environment.

  3. An immersive experience with a focus on STEM and Business
Students taking Cambridge AS and A levels at UTS College will experience a seamless transition from high school to university. They’ll study a curriculum designed to support success in STEM and Business degrees at the University of Technology Sydney, and in their future careers. At the same time, they’ll experience the campus life, facilities, and first-year subjects of a global top 100 university. They’ll also enjoy the advantages of studying in the heart of Sydney’s lively tech startup precinct.

  4. Guaranteed entry to UTS
In addition to the rigorous Cambridge Advanced Program and UTS College’s comprehensive English support, students have the opportunity earn credit towards a UTS College diploma. They’re also eligible to gain direct entry to a higher education diploma at UTS College or a bachelor’s degree at UTS*. Entry is guaranteed to students who successfully complete their A levels with the required points.

  5. Building essential life skills outside the classroom
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is built into the program. Focusing on accelerating development across a range of essential life skills, the Award is a valuable addition to any CV. Other activities, such as career development workshops and the UTS College Peer Mentoring Program, focus on personal, leadership, and career skills development.

  6. Enhanced English language skills
The highly successful UTS College Academic English Program (AE4 and AE5) is designed to boost the English language skills needed for university success. Built into the program at no extra cost, this ensures every student can confidently participate in class and social discussions. Your child will have the necessary English language and academic skills to thrive in their AS and A levels, university studies, and career.

  7. A one-stop study plan
From A levels to degree, students can complete their studies on the UTS campus. With no need to move or disrupt their lives by moving cities or even switching campus, they can focus on their studies. This stability also helps them cement a supportive network of friends (and future colleagues) to share and enrich their university experience.

Preparing secondary students to thrive at university

Justin Chu, Principal, UTS College Cambridge Accelerator, believes early exposure to the university environment sets students up for success. He says,

“This is an exciting new opportunity for ambitious young international students. They can engage in a unique university experience, in a safe and nurturing environment. You can have confidence that your child will be guided and supported by highly qualified and compassionate educators, while being fully prepared to accelerate to university and thrive in the career and future of their choosing.”
