If you are a Domestic student, you don't need an ATAR for entry to UTS College.
There are two ways to get entry:
1. HSC subject average
Entry is based on your HSC subject average which must include English and your top three non-VET subjects. You need a minimum HSC subject average of 63% for entry to UTS College.
Below are the minimum HSC subject averages needed for our diplomas:
- 75% for the Accelerated (eight month) diploma
- 67% for the Standard (12 month) diploma
2. Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Accredited Certificate IV
UTS College will also consider applicants with a nationally accredited Certificate IV. Your Certificate IV must be in a related field to our range of UTS College diplomas in animation production, business, communication, design & architecture, engineering, IT or science.

Instead, entry is based on your HSC subject average of English and your top three board-developed subjects.
