Welfare and accommodation

The UTS College Student Success Team is your first point of contact if you have any concerns related to your welfare, including physical and mental health, accommodation, finances, or other issues.

We can also refer you to other support services and resources you may need – and can even attend appointments with you, if you like.

If you’re experiencing issues that are affecting your studies, contact a Student Success Adviser who can work with you to help you stay on track. They may also refer you to the UTS Counselling Service if necessary.

Community help

  • Community health centres

Community health centres offer a range of health assessment, management and counselling services available by referral, telephone, or direct walk-ins.

Services include mental health, alcohol and drug services, health therapies, community nursing, and health education programs. There is also counselling, support and treatment for anyone experiencing social, emotional, psychiatric or relationship problems. Search community health centre to find your most convenient centre.

  • Your local Doctor/General practitioner

General practitioners (GPs) can give you advice and if necessary, refer you to specialised health professionals.

  • Community mental health centres

Community mental health teams cover every area of Sydney. Teams consist of health professionals (psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists) who provide services such as assessment, support, case management and crisis response teams.
