You’re a domestic student if you are:
- an Australian or New Zealand citizen (including dual citizens) or
- an Australian Permanent Resident (PR)
You’re an international student if you:
- aren't a citizen of Australia or New Zealand (including dual citizens) or
- aren't an Australian Permanent Resident (PR) visa holder
Studying at UTS College

Welcome to UTS College! We acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora nation - the traditional custodians of the ancestral lands where our campus now stands.
UTS College is located in and around UTS's Sydney CBD (Central Business District) campus. This offers you more opportunities to get the full "UTS uni experience" from Day 1, where you'll be on campus with other UTS students and have access to key UTS facilities. This, combined with UTS College diploma programs designed in collaboration with UTS, is how we make your transition to UTS smoother.
It's easy to get here with public transport and is only a short walk to great food, entertainment, shopping and more. We hope you enjoy studying with us.

Living in Sydney

If this is your first time in Sydney, welcome! We hope you enjoy living and studying in Australia’s largest city. Sydney is home to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation - the traditional custodians of the ancestral lands where our campus now stands. Over 5 million people from more than 180 nations live in Sydney, making it one of the most diverse cities in the world. We're here to help you feel at home as well and there is lots of support here at UTS College to help you settle in to living and studying in Sydney.
UTS College is located in and around UTS's Sydney CBD (Central Business District) campus. This is where you'll get access to key UTS facilities and have more opportunities to successfully progress to UTS. The CBD includes some of the world's most successful and innovative businesses within Australia's largest technology precinct. It's easy to get here with public transport and is only a short walk to great food, entertainment, shopping and more.

Enrolment

After you have received your offer and are admitted to UTS College, you must then enrol in your subjects*. We encourage you to enrol as soon as enrolment opens. Here's what you need do to manage your enrolment, and who to contact if you need support. For more information, go here.
*If you are an English language or Cambridge International student, we will enrol you. All academic students (diploma, UTS Foundation Studies and Pre-Master's) must self enrol. New international students enrol on campus. New domestic students enrol through eStudent.
Classes and timetables

Once you have enrolled, you can then learn more about your classes and schedule. Here's where you can find out where your class is located and how to access your timetable. Once you have this all set up, you'll be ready to join us for orientation (this is known as Welcome Week for diploma, Foundation and Cambridge International students; and Welcome and Orientation for English students). Details are in the next section.

Welcome Week
Welcome Week is your welcome and program orientation*. It's a key part of your course and is a great opportunity to join different learning activities that will prepare you for your academic studies. During Welcome Week, you'll explore a range of workshops that contain important information about your program, enjoy fun activities and also get to know your classmates and teachers.
*Welcome Week occurs at the start of the semester and is for new academic students (diploma, UTS Foundation Studies, Cambridge International and Pre-Master's). New English language students will attend a special Welcome and Program Orientation at the start of the English program block. Please see our important dates page for more information.
