Using UTS College computers

If you wish, you can use your own device across the UTS College campus and WiFi is available to all students on campus. Alternatively, there are UTS College computers located in the following Break Out areas:

  1. To log in to a UTS College computer, press any key at the login screen.
  2. Read the 'Condition of Use' and press 'OK'.
  3. Enter your username and password:
    • Username: Your student number,
    • Password: Your password, and
    • Click the arrow button to finish.

Campus computer

You can print your documents by logging into an College computer directly from the application that you are using. For example, if you are using Microsoft Word you can use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + P, or go to the File > Print, the default printer selected will be VirtualQueue.


Cloud printing

  1. You can upload your document to the cloud printing portal from any device such as laptops, tablets or mobile phones. You must ensure the attachments you want to print are compatible for printing.
  2. Go to the College Cloud Print web portal and login using your student ID and password.Enter your user name and password to login to UTS College computers
  3. Click 'select files...' button and choose the document you wish to print from your device.Click or select files....,button and choose the document you wish to print from your device
  4. After choosing the document, they should be listed like the example shown below. Ensure that the status is under 'Waiting for release' before logging onto the computer next to the printer to release your job.

Releasing a print job

  1. To release your job that you have just uploaded, you can login to the computer next to the printer using one of the three ways:Enter your account details using your student ID and password

    a) Swipe your card using the card reader to instantly log you in. This is found at the top of the computer-based release station,
    b) Enter your account details using your student ID and password, and
    c) Enter your primary number (barcode) located at the bottom of your student card as shown below.
  2. Select the listed documents and click the 'Print' Button to release them.

Adding value to College Cloud Print Account

  1. Login to and click on ‘Top Up’ on the top left corner as shown below:click on left corner as shown
  2. You will be redirected to another link requiring you to login using your College student ID and password.
  3. The first time you login to the website, you will need to tick the checkbox to agree to Terms and Conditions and click the ‘Create Account’ button to proceed.
  4. Click ‘Add Value.
  5. You will be asked to choose the amount you would like to top up. Please note that the minimum to top up is $3.

In order to make it comfortable for all students to use the UTS College computers, please follow these common-sense rules.

  • Do not bring in food or drinks as there are common areas located on every level,
  • Do not change settings or modify the system,
  • Do not remove cabling or hardware from the systems,
  • No malicious attempts to damage system physically or with malware,
  • Any issues regarding malicious damage will result in failure to comply with policy,
  • Do not play games or other leisure activities, everything is monitored,
  • No sharing of passwords, log out after each use,
  • No connecting to Ethernet ports located across campus,
  • Keep the area clean and tidy as it is shared by everyone,
  • Please throw all rubbish in bins provided,
  • Breaches of policy will be dealt with in accordance with the Non-academic Misconduct Policy.

IT service desk hours

You can get all the computer related support you need from the UTS College ITDS Service Desk. The Service Desk can be contacted by dialling 7000 on the phones in each teaching room and print release stations. Alternatively, you can login to the UTS College ITDS Service Desk Portal.
