The Student Commons is an interconnected network of spaces that combines several essential advice and support services. This centralises all the support you need in one convenient location. You’ll find the UTS College Student Commons at UTS Building 5 (CB05), Block C, Level 1 (Ground Floor) at 1-59 Quay Street, Haymarket.

Student Centre

The Student Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 5pm, located wihtin the Student Commons. This is where you’ll find Student Advisers who can help you with things like course information, payments, student ID cards, class attendance, submitting medical certificates, and updating address and contact details for under18 students.

Student Success Advisers

UTS College Student Success Advisers support you in your studies and help you meet program progress requirements. Speak to advisers about:

  • Your future study plan and GPA
  • Your elective subject choices
  • Your attendance and progress
  • Visa concerns
  • Academic issues
  • Problems affecting your studies, such as stress, time management or personal issues
  • Accommodation advice.

HELPS Centre

The HELPS Centre is a safe, friendly space, offering a wide range of resources to develop and improve your academic and English language skills. You’re welcome to attend weekly sessions at the Centre. Please feel free to ask questions about your language and academic learning. The Centre also runs in-class sessions to help you manage your time and prepare for your assessments.

ITDS Service Desk

The ITDS Service Desk is on Level 1 (Ground floor) of Building 5, Block C of the Student Commons. The Service Desk staff can help and advise with your IT support needs. You’re welcome to visit them in person when you’re on campus.
