Our campus is in the heart of Sydney's creative and digital precinct and alongside Sydney's Central Business District (CBD). UTS College has four campuses in the Haymarket and Ultimo precinct: 187 Thomas Street (known as the Blue Building), 191 Thomas Street (known as CPSU House), 645 Harris Street (known as Mary Ann House) and 609 Harris Street.  Other campus buildings and facilities are part of the UTS campus, which you will also have access to. The UTS College Auditorium is used for lectures, functions, graduations, Orientation and Academic Preparation Week events and other activities.

UTS College tutorials have a maximum of 20 students so you get the face-to-face teaching time you need. Academic lectures can have between 20-100 students, a more intimate size than university.

Computer Labs

Stay up-to-date with the latest technology in our Computer Labs. There are more than 600 computers designated for diploma students and more than 100 for English language students, in addition to the facilities at UTS. High-speed wireless Internet means that you are connected throughout the UTS College campus.

HELPS Centre (Higher Education Language and Presentation Support Centre)

Location: Level 4, CPSU Building 191 Thomas Street, Haymarket.
Opening Hours: Currently Closed.
The HELPS Centre offers free weekly one-on-one learning support sessions for English Language students, you’ll feel better prepared for your assessments and exams.

Lecture Theatres

On average, students take four subjects per semester with a maximum of 24 face-to-face teaching hours per week.

Prayer Rooms

Location: Level 3, UTS College Blue Building – 187 Thomas St, Haymarket - Currently Closed
Location: Level 2, CPSU House - 191 Thomas Street, Haymarket - Currently Closed

There are separate prayer rooms and washrooms for males and females located in the Blue Building on Level 3. There is also a prayer room located in the CPSU House on Level 2. Prayer Rooms are strictly for UTS College and UTS students and staff.  Student/Staff ID Cards are required to be shown for entry.  No public access is allowed.

Student Centre

Location: Ground floor of the Blue Building on 187 Thomas Street, Haymarket.

Appointment Hours: Student Centre staff appointments are available Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

The Student Centre is there to assist you with all matters related to your studies at UTS College:

  • Administrative issues such as program information, payments, student cards and class attendance
  • ​Immigration and visa concerns
  • Homestay
  • ​Academic, personal and social issues.

Student Lounges

Locations: Various
Opening Hours: 8:00 - 6:00pm

Students can enjoy accessing several student lounges located around the campus. Relax with friends over a coffee or heat up a meal in the microwave, chill out with your headphones on, or enjoy a quiet space for study, research and group work. The lounges are also a great place to escape, even if it's just for a little while.

UTS Services

You can enjoy access to the University of Technology Sydney's facilities and services, including the library, fitness centre, 24-hour computer labs and hundreds of clubs.

UTS Counsellors

Get the help and support you need from the UTS counsellors. Trained to assist you with a range of personal, psychological, learning and administrative issues that might be interfering with your studies. UTS Fitness Centre

Location: UTS Building 4 Level 2 - 745 Harris St Broadway.
Opening hours: 6am – 8pm, Monday – Friday.

Health Services

Location: 15 Broadway, Ultimo: Building 1 (UTS Tower), Level 6 (Room 01.06.001)
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

As a UTS College student, you can seek health and medical assistance from UTS Health Services. Confidential services include:

  • Travel Vaccinations

Please note: International students are required by Australian Student Visa regulations to have health insurance, called Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). OSHC qualifies you for consultation and treatment at UTS Health Services. If you are unable to secure an approved OSHC Insurance policy, UTS College can arrange one for you prior to your arrival (see our International Application form).

UTS Library

Location: UTS Central (Building 2, Levels 5-9) 61 Broadway Ultimo.

Opening hours: 24 Hours, 7 days per week.

To ensure you have all the latest technology at your fingertips, you'll enjoy access to one of the most technologically capable libraries in the southern hemisphere - the UTS library. It's just a few minutes' walk away from the UTS College campus or online 24 hours 7 days a week.

In addition to a comprehensive range of books, magazines and periodicals, there are many other resources available to you including Individual and Group Study Rooms, Presentation Practice Rooms and Assistive Technologies Rooms.
