Where will it take me?

Which program – standard or extended

*compulsory subjects for students wishing to study Engineering. Students studying Engineering must successfully complete FMT002, FMT003 and FFP001. Students studying other programs can choose these subjects as electives.

^Students who have completed Foundation English 4 can choose three electives in semester 3.

Students must be a minimum of 16 years at the time of commencing UTS Foundation Studies.

Modes of study

This course is delivered full time and face-to-face in scheduled on-campus classes.


Assessment methods

Assessment methods in UTS Foundation Studies courses include extended written assignments; group oral presentations; group discussions; reading and note-taking tasks, listening and note-taking tasks; final examinations for maths and English; quizzes (multiple-choice, calculations, open-ended questions); learning portfolios; group reports; individual and group presentations; essays; design proposal; individual project (artefact and supporting written research topic); website designs; media creation projects; group debates; teacher guided discussions; and individual reflections.
