- These Terms and Conditions apply to the 'Name the Koala competition conducted by UTS College, where participants are invited to submit a name for the Koala featured in the Student Lounge mural.
- Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- The Competition will open (start date) and will close (end date).
- Entries will be judged and awarded to the participants on 16 July 2026.
- Be the participants original suggestion.
- Be appropriate, respectful and suitable for a university community.
- Not contain offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate language or content.
- Not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any person or entity.
- The Competition is open to all UTS College students.
- To enter, eligible participants must submit their proposed Koala name using the official QR code provided during the Competition Period.
- The competition will be promoted by UTS College during the Competition Period:

- Participants may submit one (1) entry unless otherwise advised by UTS College.
- At the close of the Competition Period, all eligible entries will be reviewed by UTS College. One winning entry will be selected based on creativity, originality and suitability.
- The winning name will be announced by Kentaro, and the winner will receive a Kentaro print.
- The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
ENTRY TERMS

UTS College reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject or remove any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or that it considers inappropriate.
By entering the Competition, participants agree that, if selected as the winner, UTS College may announce their name and the winning Koala name in promotional material and on UTS College communication channels.
By entering the Competition, participants grant UTS College a royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce and publish the submitted Koala name for promotional, marketing and other purposes related to the Competition and the Student Lounge mural.
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
- The Competition is open to all UTS College students.
- To enter, eligible participants must submit their proposed Koala name using the official QR code provided during the Competition Period.
HOW TO ENTER & JUDGING PROCESS

- The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
THE PRIZES
- The winner will receive one (1) Kentaro print.
- The prize is not redeemable for cash and is not transferable, exchangeable or refundable.
GENERAL
- UTS College reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, vary the Competition Period, or cancel or suspend the Competition at any time were reasonably necessary.
- UTS College reserves the right to substitute the advertised prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.
- UTS College accepts no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, late, lost, corrupted, misdirected or not received for any reason, including technical issues affecting the online entry form or QR code.
- UTS College reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these Terms and Conditions or who submits an entry that is fraudulent, misleading or otherwise inappropriate.
- To the extent permitted by law, UTS College is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by a participant arising from or in connection with the Competition or the acceptance or use of the prize.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
- By entering the Competition, participants consent to UTS College collecting, using, storing and disclosing their personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition, contacting participants, and announcing the winner, in accordance with UTS College's Privacy Policy.

- The winner agrees that UTS College may publish or announce their name and the winning koala name on UTS College communication channels, including email, social media and the UTS College website, for the purposes of promoting the Competition.
