Join your Under 18s online predeparture session to get essential info, practical tips, and learn about exciting opportunities to make your study abroad experience in Sydney even more special! Before you leave for Sydney, you’ll be able to connect and make friends with your classmates before you leave home!

If you’re under 18 and an international student, it’s mandatory to attend this session.

 

Who should attend?

 

All international students under 18 years old starting June 2026 commencing:

  • Trimester 3 Academic programs: UTS Foundation Studies and Diplomas
  • ELT Block 5
  • Family and friends are also welcome to join the session.

  • Gain insider knowledge from student ambassadors who know everything there is to know about life and studying in Sydney.
  • Get practical tips for what to pack before you go and handy hints on living in Sydney: including accommodation, transport, food, cost of living/ways to save, local customs and more.
  • Prepare for your studies in Sydney and be ready to start your UTS College program.
  • Discover what support is available to help with your studies, career advice and wellbeing from day 1.
  • Ask any questions you (or your family) have. We’re here to help you get the very best start to your studies.

What to prepare before the session

 Online sessions:
  • Zoom access
  • Pen and paper (or your device) to take notes
  • Smartphone to take screen shots/scan important information
  • Your profile pic in case your camera isn’t working*

* We encourage you to switch on your camera during the session so you can meet and make friends with all of your classmates who are also travelling to Sydney.

Want to keep your family and friends informed before you leave for your big adventure? They’re more than welcome to join the session as well.
