When you choose our Standard pathway, you’ll learn skills to prepare you for university study. Students who successfully complete the program will qualify for the first year of most undergraduate degrees at UTS, or for those who need more preparation, a UTS College diploma.

Assessment methods in UTS Foundation Studies courses include extended written assignments; group oral presentations; group discussions; reading and note-taking tasks, listening and note-taking tasks; final examinations for maths and English; quizzes (multiple-choice, calculations, open-ended questions); learning portfolios; group reports; individual and group presentations; essays; design proposal; individual project (artefact and supporting written research topic); website designs; media creation projects; group debates; teacher guided discussions; and individual reflections.
