What happens at Welcome Week?

Welcome Week covers all the important things you need to know and do before classes start. In the lead up to Welcome Week, we will host activities and workshops so you will have plenty of time to get ready and have access to all the support you need before classes start.

Workshops include

IT support – understand all the technical ins and outs of our online systems and tools. We cover important tips such as downloading apps you need for remote learning, how to reset your password and activate your UTS College account.  The session will  help you get the best out of everything IT related for remote learning.  You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and be guided by our team of professional IT staff.

Enrolment and Timetabling – Diploma students learn how enrol and select classes while UTS Foundation Studies students will be assisted with selecting electives.

We also have a series on online events and fun activities to help you make friends. These sessions are hosted by volunteers who are UTS College current students and alumni. Our Student Volunteers are excited and looking forward to welcoming you. They are also happy to share their own experiences on how to be successful while studying at UTS College!

Before Welcome Week please complete these steps.

  1. Activate your UTS email account.
This is how you will receive important information and access online learning.
Please note access will be available after 24 hours.
  2. Activate your UTS College account (eStudent).
This allows you to choose your classes, see your timetable and grades.
  3. Update your contact details in eStudent.
You only need to do this if you are over 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age please contact our welfare team.
  4. Upload your photo to CaptureMe.
This is for your student card and so your teacher can identify you during class.

As a new student, take a moment to find out more on remote learning.
