UTS College has launched its most prestigious program to date, Australia’s first university-embedded Cambridge International AS and A Levels program, giving international students from across Asia early exposure to university learning, academic expectations, and campus life - and redefining how internationally-recognised secondary qualifications can be delivered within a higher education environment.

Another successful start to Trimester 1 and Welcome Week culminated in the Welcome to Campus Fair on Friday 27 February. The College welcomed more than 340 students to the fair, including our international students and students from Australia. A record 20 ActivateUTS clubs and societies hosted stalls, the highest number held at a single event. Student interest was strong throughout the event, with 135 sign-ups across the clubs and societies on the day, highlighting strong engagement with campus life opportunities.

UTS College celebrates the Class of 2024!

In what is arguably the biggest annual event in the UTS College calendar, the College celebrated the Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony at the UTS Great Hall on Tuesday 29 April 2025. Students from diploma, UTS Foundation Studies and graduate certificate programs who had completed their studies in 2024, donned their caps and gowns to celebrate this very special occasion with family and friends.

54 credit points to UTS for Diploma of Business

Diploma of Business students articulating to either the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Management at UTS can now receive 54 credit points RPL for all nine subjects completed at UTS College!

Students now have the option to use Academic Communication (BABC011 Academic and Business Communication) as an elective for RPL. This change is applicable for all UTS College students studying a Diploma of Business at any UTS College campus (Sydney or Sri Lanka) or TNE program location.

On Thursday 7 November, UTS College Sri Lanka held its 5 Year Anniversary celebration evening in Colombo. In attendance was Lalita Kapur, the Australian Deputy High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Morwenna Shahani, CEO, UTS College, Peter Murray, Head, International Student Recruitment and Associate Professor Diep Nguyen from UTS, along with other special guests and staff, agents, and school representatives.

New UTS scholarships in 2025 for international students at UTS College

In 2025 and 2026, UTS is offering new academic scholarships for international students. These cannot be used in conjunction with any other UTS scholarship.

On-campus enrolment for new international students

On-campus enrolment is mandatory for all new international academic students, to ensure students receive extra in-person support and are prepared for Welcome Week.
Semester 3 on-campus enrolment opens 16 September 2024 and closes 23 September 2024.
Students who are late to enrol must seek approval from the Dean of Studies. If approved, the student must pay a $150 late fee. This applies to new students from Tuesday 24 September 2024.

On-campus support sessions for new international students

New international students can drop in to the Student Centre (CB05, Block C) for enrolment assistance anytime from 9am to 4pm between 16 September and 23 September 2024. Bookings are not required.

UTS College announces launch of a global first – the new Cambridge International AS and A Levels

The Cambridge International AS and A Levels at UTS College is a new transformative program offering an innovative pathway to UTS for ambitious international students. Commencing in January 2025, the program combines STEM or business focused Cambridge International AS and A Level qualifications with Academic English and the choice to undertake first year university (diploma) subjects, in a distinctive offering that is the first of its kind globally!

The program also offers students the opportunity to undertake the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, and access to the campus, facilities and networks of UTS.

Dr Justin Chu, Principal, Cambridge International AS and A Levels, says: “The benefits for students are significant and are oriented to suit international learning preferences. Students can focus on their subject strengths and take a deep dive into STEM or business subjects of interest, while also exploring extra-curricular
opportunities to accelerate their development.”

He adds: “International students will also benefit from Academic English embedded into the program – something we’re also internationally renowned for, to be fully prepared for the English language and academic skills demands of tertiary studies at UTS College and UTS.”
