All students and staff can access internet and web services using the UTS College wireless network. You will need your:

  • current UTS College username and password
  • own smart device, phone or laptop.

Access instructions

To access the UTS College wireless network you will need:

  • A current UTS College username and password. Your username is your UTS email address, eg
    • If you have forgotten your UTS College account password, please contact the ITDS Service Desk on (+61 2) 9218 7000 or logon to the UTS College ITDS Service Desk Portal.
    • You can connect up to four devices simultaneously.

Please note, web traffic over WiFi is monitored for unacceptable use. If you use WiFi inappropriately you may be subject to disciplinary action.

You will need to comply with both the UTS and UTS College computer user policies:


The ITDS Acceptable Use of Facilities policy describes your rights and responsibilities when using the services. By using the UTS College ITDS facilities, students agree to abide by this policy.

How to connect to UTS College WiFi

Step 1

Go to your WiFi settings on your device.

Step 2

Select "eduroam" from the list.

Step 3

Type in your username and password and click "join"or "connect".

Step 4

If prompted by a certificate click "accept" or "continue".

Step 5

Youre connected! Enjoy access to free WiFi in and out of class.

Where/when is WiFi coverage available?

Wireless access is available in all UTS College campus.

Accessing WiFi in UTS buildings

You can also access Eduroam in UTS buildings. Eduroam(Education Roaming) is a  secure, roaming access service that allows students and staff to access WiFi when visiting other Universities. You can connect to the eduroam network at UTS using your UTS email address eg, and password. See the UTS College website for details. View the UTS Acceptable Use Policy.

Alternatives to WiFi

If you do not have a wireless enabled laptop, there are a number of computers that you can use – please see the  Using UTS College computers page for locations of the computers.

  • Monday to Friday (8.30am - 7pm)
